Applications are invited from highly motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Junior
Research Fellow (JRF) in a SERB funded Research Project titled "Development of Hypervalent
Iodine (III) Reagents Mediated Photocatalytic Si-H Functionalization and Exploration of Distal
Group Migration".

Objectives of the Project:The objective of the project is to design and develop visible-light photocatalytic methods for Si-H
functionalization of silanes mediated by Hypervalent iodine(III) reagents towards the synthesis of
organosilanes.
Essential Qualification:
Master’s in Chemistry from recognized Universities/Institutes with CSIR/UGC-NET/JRF or valid
GATE score. Preference will be given to the candidate with organic chemistry specialization.
Stipend:
The amount of JRF fellowship will be as per SERB norms.
Duration:
The initial appointment will be for one year, which is extendable up to the duration of the project
solely based on performance.
